Library Learning Commons News

International Bookmark Exchange

St. Anne School participated for the first time in this fantastic program.  This year, 1220 classes from 27 countries took part.  I am happy to say that 7 classes from St. Anne made beautiful bookmarks for children in other countries.  We were matched up with classrooms in India, Slovenia and Croatia.   Some classes have received their bookmarks already from their matched countries and I am very impressed with the artistic and local historic bookmarks our students have received. Come check out the bulletin board outside the Library Learning Commons for some more pictures.

A very BIG Thank You to the St. Anne Parent Council for once again supporting the Forest of Reading Literary Event. The School Library Learning Commons has received 70 new books that our school population will enjoy, read and vote upon for best Canadian Author/Illustrator for 2018 during January to April 2018. Registration forms for students that are interested in  participating in the program will be handed out in January.
