Completion of Greening Project

The St. Anne’s Platinum Eco Team is pleased to announce the completion of our “Rock Garden Path”. This project was begun last year to commemorate the 70th anniversary of our school. You may recall that every student in our school community decorated a rock. Thanks to the very generous donation of materials from Grand River Brick and Stone, we were able to complete this project creating beautiful rock garden path borders for our courtyard flower beds.

We would like to give a very special thank you to Ginette Boudreau and Jarrett Woodard from Grand River Brick and Stone for their generosity. We could not have completed this project without you! Also a special shout out to our Grade 4 helpers for cleaning rocks, the Grade 7 helpers for many hours of digging out garden borders, and our Eco team for their continued efforts to beautify our school ground.

Choir

The St. Anne choir has had an incredible 2018-2019 year.  Some of our highlights from this past year include singing the O’ Canada at the Kitchener Rangers Game, singing at St. Mary’s Cathedral and getting a personal tour of the old bell tower from Father Toby, singing at countless masses throughout the year at St. Anne, and of course belting out those radio hits at the end of our practices!  We will end the year by singing at the Grade 8 Graduation mass during this last week of school.  Special thanks to all those students who stuck it out the whole year and dedicated their time and various recesses to sharing their gift of song.  We had our eager Grade 3 students join us at the end of the year mass and they were truly sensational.  Shout out to Mademoiselle Haramis who took over on keys during our last mass!  See you all in September!

Mrs. Sawaya Bester, Monsieur Francis, and Mrs. Delaney

Junior Boys 3-Pitch

Congratulations to the Junior Boys 3-Pitch team who competed in the annual tournament at Optimist Park on June 17th. Our team performed admirably and went undefeated in four games clinching the championship in the finals against Saint John Paul school. Thank you boys for your hard work, positive attitude, and sportsmanship both on and off of the field.
