Now as we return to school, we continue our Lenten Observance. In this special time of preparation for Easter, you are all in our prayers. There are many things going on at St Anne during Lent – take a look!

Monthly Family Movie Nights

In March we’ll head out on the water with Drac and his family in Hotel Transylvania 3. Come out Saturday March 23 at 6 pm for free popcorn, plus pizza, pop, juice and coffee for sale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

THINKfast

This Lent, This spring, St Anne Parish is partnering with St Joseph Church to hold THINKfast – a fundraiser for Development and Peace. This year, THINKfast will be at St Joseph church from 6 pm on Friday April 5 to 7:30 pm Saturday April 6. Young people in grades 6-12 have the option of staying overnight, and those in grades 1-5 are invited from 2-7:30 pm on Saturday.

Together we will learn, play games, pray, and raise money and awareness for an excellent cause. While we do all of these things, we also fast, to experience a small amount of what those living without secure access to food experience.

Lent at St Anne Parish

Stations of the Cross

Everyone is invited to come and pray the Stations of the Cross Friday nights at 6:30 pm, followed by Mass at 7. Next Friday, March 29, the Stations will be led by the youth of our parish.

Book of Luke Gospel Study

Father Brian is facilitating this study for parishioners of St. Joseph and St. Anne Parishes, and it will be held downstairs in St. Anne Parish Hall. There will be no homework, no tests, no registration, no fee, no commitment. You can participate as much or as little as you want to. It will be relaxing and hopefully add to your Lenten renewal,. We will finish no later than 8:30 pm. (with a 15-minute halfway break).

Reconciliation

Lent is a time that calls us to prayer, and to look honestly at our lives. If you are interested in receiving the Sacrament of Reconcilation (even if it’s been a while!) You are invited to attend one of multiple celebrations being held in the Kitchener area. At St Anne, multiple priests will be available to hear confessions during our Reconciliation service at 7 pm on Thursday March 28.
